I’ve just released Darken, the 26th Galactic Coalition Academy Series. I say just. I released it 10 days ago, but I’ve been slack in sending this email because I’ve been redesigning covers. More on that below.
Darken is an action-packed short romp in the tone of The Hand of the Gods and Entangled. It was fun to write – especially the main character.
Unlike most of my Galactic Coalition Academy series, this one has a double-story arc. While the characters from Darken aren’t taken forward, the technology is. So get ready for a continuation of the theme in Left of Nowhere, the 27th GCA series, which will be released on the 1st of February 2025.
Unlike most of my other series, I’ve decided to release only the complete box set rather than all four short episodes. So you’ll only find Darken Episode One and Darken: The Complete Series at retailers.

In other news, I haven’t written a word for 2 weeks, which is super unusual for me. I’ve been redesigning my covers instead. For those who don’t know, I do all my own covers. I’ve always liked the challenge. Plus, with the size of my catalog and how fast I write, it’d be cost-prohibitive to do it any other way. It still means that it takes ages when I decide to do a catalog redesign. I also decided to try my hand at symbolic covers this time, which was a steep learning curve.
Hopefully, I’m coming to the end of this mammoth task and I’ll get back to writing again. It means I’ll be writing and releasing short series for a while to make up for the time lost in my schedule. I might release trilogies instead of 4-book series – we’ll see.
