In other news, I haven’t written any short stories yet – I ran out of time last month. I have a theme for four little stories, and it’s pretty fun. … I just have to actually write it! At the moment, I’m up to the second short book in a spin-off of Devil in a Hatchback. It follows another bounty hunter who works for Drake’s agency.
Once that’s done, I’ll swing back around to sci-fi and write the next Galactic Coalition Academy series. I’ve got no ideas for it yet. If I still don’t have one when I sit down to write, I’ll either just jump in and imagine a first scene or write a series of blurbs and pick the one I like the most. Sometimes I plan stories – sometimes I don’t. I think it’s important to have both skills.
